π₯ Air Fryer Rack Position
Top Rack for crispest results — shake halfway through
π Air Fryer Method
- Peel potatoes and cut into even-sized chunks — roughly 5cm.
- Par-boil in salted water for 7–8 minutes — tender outside, not falling apart.
- Drain well. Leave to steam dry for 2 minutes.
- Shake the pan gently to rough up the edges — extra crispy air fryer crunch.
- Tip into your air fryer tray. Drizzle generously with oil/fat. Toss until fully coated.
- Spread in a single layer — do not pile them up, they will steam instead of crisp.
- Preheat air fryer to 190°C.
- Place on Top Rack. Cook 35–40 minutes.
- Shake or turn halfway through. Add garlic and herbs for last 10 minutes if using.
- Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.
π‘ Pro Tip: Dry potatoes = crispy air fryer potatoes. Pat dry with kitchen paper if wet. Don't overcrowd — cook in two batches if needed.
