π Method
- Beat butter and both sugars until pale and creamy — about 2–3 minutes.
- Add egg and vanilla — mix well.
- Stir in flour, cocoa, and bicarbonate of soda — mix until just combined, do not overwork.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto lined trays — space well apart, they will spread.
- Chill in fridge for 20 minutes — stops them spreading too thin.
- Preheat air fryer oven to 160°C.
- Bake on Top + Middle Racks for 8–10 minutes. Swap trays halfway.
- They will feel soft when hot — firm up as they cool. Leave on tray 5 minutes before moving to a rack.
π‘ Pro Tip: Underbake by 1 minute if you like them chewy. Overbake by 1 minute for extra crisp.
